Welcome

Hi, I'm Jeffrey Stanley. I'm proudly part Cherokee (Eastern Band) and I live in Philadelphia, PA, USA. This is my blog. I'm a screenwriter, playwright, filmmaker, performer, essayist, Legacy Fulbright Alumni Ambassador and formerFulbright-Nehru Research Scholar to India, during which time I conducted historical film, theatre and political research in India where I have traveled extensively.

I currently teach screenwriting and related courses as an Adjunct Faculty at my alma mater NYU Tisch School of the Arts in the Tisch Open Arts and Goldberg Dramatic Writing departments, and as an Adjunct Faculty at Drexel University Westphal College of Media Arts & Design in the Performing Arts and Cinema & TV Departments, and I'm a Drexel University Fulbright Scholar Liaison. I once taught a course I created, Theatre History for Actors, at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.

If you would like to see my full bio and learn more about my work please visit my homepage.

Many years ago, screenwriter Joe Vinciguerra and a few other close friends in college started calling me Jefe Von Stanley. It’s pure nonsense. The nickname stuck. This is Jefe’s House.

My family and I enjoy model rocketry as a hobby. I also collect vintage medicine bottles and display them in an antique medicine cabinet, just another way to engage with history and pop culture. I am a first-generation college graduate.

I play Fortnite and have beaten both BOTW and TOTK, so don't dis my mad gaming skills.

Ami ektu Bangla boli kintu kono Hindi jani na. Apni?
