Hi, I'm Jeffrey Stanley. I live in Philadelphia. This is my blog. I'm a published playwright, screenwriter, filmmaker, performer and essayist, 2022-24 Fulbright Alumni Ambassador and 2018-19 Fulbright Scholar, during which time I conducted historical film, theatre and political research in India where I have traveled extensively.

I currently teach screenwriting and related courses as a full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor on a one-year appointment at Drexel University Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, and as an adjunct faculty at my alma mater NYU Tisch School of the Arts. I once taught a course I created, Theatre History for Actors, at the Lee Strasberg Film & Theatre Institute.

Many years ago, screenwriter Joe Vinciguerra and a few other close friends in college started calling me Jefe Von Stanley. It’s pure nonsense. The nickname stuck. This is Jefe’s House.
