Backwards talking. This can’t be good. I’ve seen The Exorcist. Besides, infamous 1930s occultist Aleister Crowley talks about doing and saying things backwards as a way of achieving Luciferian power in his notorious book Magick in Theory and Practice (see p. 389). But the show must go on, demons be damned.
Those who live, live off the dead. Likewise death, too, has to live.
The theater, which is in no thing, but makes use of everything — gestures, sounds, words, screams, light, darkness — rediscovers itself at precisely the point where the mind requires a language to express its manifestations. To break through language in order to touch life is to create or recreate the theatre.

TRANSCRIPT of above EVP session, 7/16/14:
JEFFREY STANLEY: Hi folks, Jeff Stanley here, back in the saddle, just finished a rehearsal of Boneyards here in the cellar of the synagogue, getting things ready for July 26 and 27th. And it looks creepy as ever. And I’m here all alone in the building. And it’s time again for some ghost auditions and to say hi. I’m hoping the “Synagogue Saints,” who graced us so many times last time will say hello to us. I’m just gonna do a quick walk-through here of the space.
(he turns on the spirit box)
Hey guys, do you remember Boneyards? And are you still here with me?…Looking forward to seeing you again soon, and hearing from you. And I had a great time with you guys last time, and I’m hoping you’ll want to audition again and participate in the show on July 26th and 27th at 9pm and 2pm respectively, get your tickets now for $10. Online. At ticketleap. Michael Wiener will of course be appearing with me.

JS: Are you excited? Are you excited about the show?…And what’s the name of the show, can you tell us the name of the show?…Wow…Last chance. Okay, can you tell us, um, what’s my name? What’s my name in this thing?…Eh…Last chance, what’s my name?
GHOST #6: Yelnats eerfej [clip played twice]. Then, Jeffrey Stanley [the same clip played twice in reverse. Holy cow!].
JS: Love you, and I’ll talk to you again soon.
