In Memoriam
Curt Dempster, 1935 - 2007

Curt Dempster, Founding Artistic Director of The Ensemble Studio Theatre and director of the highly acclaimed Tesla's Letters world premiere in 1999, passed away on January 19, 2007. This great man's mission was to replenish the American theatre with new plays. He created a home for hundreds of theatre artists and developed literally thousands of new plays. Over the course of 36 years he built The Ensemble Studio Theatre into the premiere developmental theatre in the United States.  He will be sorely missed.
